Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 30.3 inches centered between Lake
Superior and James Bay will shift southeast, reaching the Mid-
Atlantic States Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, 29.7 inch low pressure
over the southern Plains will track northeast, reaching Iowa
Tuesday afternoon. This low will then move east across the Great
Lakes region Tuesday night and Wednesday. In its wake, a weak high
pressure ridge of 29.9 inches will shift across the western Great
Lakes on Thursday. As the ridge moves toward the East Coast on
Friday, a 29.5 inch low will track northeast to northern
Minnesota.
