Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
941 PM EDT Tue Oct 23 2018

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 30.4 inches from northern Ontario to
the middle Mississippi river valley will cross the Great Lakes
through Wednesday night. As this high weakens to 30.2 inches while
moving to the Lower Great Lakes by Thursday evening and then to
Quebec and New England on Friday, a 29.9 inch low pressure trough
will move east across the Dakotas to Minnesota. The low pressure
trough will remain nearly stationary on Saturday as high pressure
builds to 30.5 inches over eastern Quebec. Expect the low pressure
trough to drift across the western Great Lakes on Sunday as a
high pressure ridge of 30.4 inches expands from western Canada to
the high plains.
