Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
407 AM EST Tue Dec 11 2018

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.8 inch low is currently centered along the
Northern Ontario-Lake Superior shoreline, and will track to the
southeast today. In its wake, a 29.7 inch low will approach the
west-central Great Lakes region by early Wednesday, weakening and
eventually dissipating by tomorrow night. For the latter half of
the week, the northern Great Lakes region will be wedged between
systems, yielding an ill-defined pattern over the area. As Friday
progresses, a 30.3 inch high pressure axis looks to squeeze its
way into the northern Great Lakes region, also eventually eroding
by early Sunday. Deepening low pressure to 29.7 inches looks to
pass to the south and east of the local area over the weekend.
