.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
Dense sea fog will affect the bays and near shore waters north of
Port Aransas through this evening. Rain chances will gradually
diminish tonight and Thursday as the coastal trough weakens. Winds
will be become weak and variable tonight and Thursday. Fog will
be possible again along the coast Thursday night. Onshore flow
begins to increase Friday in response to an approaching cold
front. A few showers are possible Friday afternoon. The cold front
will arrive late Friday night, bringing a good chance for showers
and thunderstorms. Winds will abruptly shift to the northwest
behind the front and become very strong, with highly agitated
seas. Advisories will be needed, with a possibility for winds to
reach Gale criteria Saturday night through Sunday. Conditions
improve quickly when high pressure moves into the region Sunday
and Monday. Modest onshore flow returns Monday afternoon.
