The Flood Warning continues for
the Wolf River near Wolf River Near Rossville 1N
* from Sunday February 25 until Sunday February 25.
* At 8 AM Saturday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 13.5 feet on Sunday February 25.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Sunday February 25 and
continue to rise to near 13.5 feet by Sunday February 25.The river
will fall below flood stage by Sunday February 25.
* At 14.0 feet...Flood water begins to flow over Highways 196, 205
and Houston Levee Road near the Wolf River. Morrison Creek at
Rossville will begin to backwater flood around the businesses near
the railroad tracks. The Collierville-Arlington road is flooding or
flooded near the Wolf River Bridge. Residential areas near the
river in southeast Shelby County will begin to flood.

* At 22.0 feet...Widespread low land flooding is occurring. Green
trails along the Wolf River are flooded

* At 11 AM Saturday the stage was 27.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 36.6 feet on Monday March 5.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Thursday March 1 and
continue to rise to near 36.5 feet by Monday March 5.The river
may fall below flood stage by Wednesday March 14.
* At 37.0 feet...In Arkansas, the grain terminal and other businesses
by it south of West Memphis are being covered by water. At Memphis,
the fuel facility south of the river gage is flooding.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of East Arkansas, North Mississippi, Southeast
Missouri, and West Tennessee, including the following areas,
in East Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Greene,
Lawrence, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, Randolph, and
St. Francis. In North Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Coahoma,
DeSoto, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Tate, Tippah, and Tunica.
In Southeast Missouri, Dunklin and Pemiscot. In West
Tennessee, Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer,
Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry,
Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton, and
Weakley.

* Through late tonight

* Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible
through Saturday Night, with highest amounts expected north of
Interstate 40.

* Runoff from heavy rainfall may result in rapid rises in river,
stream, and creek levels. Widespread rural lowland flooding is
possible and poor drainage urban areas may experience street
flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
