AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BEGIN TO BUILD OVER THE
WEST COAST TODAY INTO THURSDAY...BRINGING A SIGNIFICANT WARMING AND
DRYING TREND TO SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK. IN
ADDITION...WEAK TO MODERATE OFFSHORE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
OVER THE LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS TODAY
INTO THURSDAY...AND PERSIST THROUGH FRIDAY.

AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RISE INTO THE 80S TO MID 90S
ACROSS THE COAST AND VALLEYS BY THURSDAY...AND TO AROUND 90 TO
THE LOWER 100S BY FRIDAY. THE HEAT IS EXPECTED TO PEAK ON SATURDAY
WITH VALLEY HIGHS RANGING BETWEEN 100 TO 106 DEGREES. OVERNIGHT LOWS
