AND RIVERSIDE COUNTY VALLEYS-THE INLAND EMPIRE...SAN GORGONIO
PASS NEAR BANNING AND SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS.

* THROUGH MONDAY EVENING

* HEAVY RAIN WILL OCCUR AT TIMES THROUGH EARLY EVENING...MAINLY
BELOW 6500 FEET. PERIODS OF SHOWERS...SOME WITH HEAVY RAINFALL
WILL FOLLOW FOR TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...MAINLY BELOW 4500
FEET. RAINFALL RATES COULD LOCALLY REACH OR EXCEED ONE INCH PER
HOUR. THIS WILL BRING A RISK OF FLASH FLOODING. HEAVY RAINS OVER
RECENT BURN SCARS COULD RESULT IN DEBRIS FLOWS AND MUD SLIDES.
IN THE MOUNTAINS...A WARMER AIR MASS THIS AFTERNOON WILL RESULT
IN RISING SNOW LEVELS AND MELTING OF SNOW BELOW 6500 FEET WHICH
WILL INCREASE THE RISK OF FLOODING.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
South central San Bernardino County in southern California...

* Until 230 AM PST

* At 1024 PM PST, law enforcement reported minor flooding along
sections of State Route 62 near Yucca Valley. Rainfall amounts
between two-thirds and three-quarters of an inch were recorded
this evening around Yucca Valley. Additional rain showers can be
expected and will likely contribute to minor flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
State Route 62 and secondary roads near Yucca Valley, Landers and
Joshua Tree.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

San Bernardino County in southern California...
Riverside County in southern California...

* Until 130 AM PST

* At 1114 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated a band of rain with
embedded heavy showers that will likely cause flooding.

* Additional rainfall amounts of 0.30 to 0.50 are possible as this
band of rain moves through the warned area.

* Some locations that will likely experience flooding include...
Anaheim, Santa Ana, Riverside, Irvine, San Bernardino, Fontana,
Moreno Valley, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Ontario, Corona,
Orange, Fullerton, Costa Mesa, Temecula, Rialto, Mission Viejo,
Chino, Tustin and Redlands.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding can be most dangerous at night and water may be deeper than
it appears. Several high water rescues have occurred in the warned
area.
