THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RIVERTON HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 5 PM MST
SATURDAY. THE HIGH WIND WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* SUMMARY AND TIMING...WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE
ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS THIS MORNING AND THEN TO THE CODY FOOTHILLS
LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT. STRONGEST WINDS SHOULD OCCUR TONIGHT
AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT.

* WIND...WEST 30 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS NEAR 60 MPH IN THE LOWER
ELEVATIONS...WITH GUSTS TO 90 MPH NEAR CLARK...ESPECIALLY
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT. WEST WINDS 40 TO 60 MPH WITH GUSTS 70
TO 80 MPH IN THE ABSAROKAS.

* IMPACTS...HIGH WINDS MAY MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS FOR LIGHT AND
HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES...ESPECIALLY BETWEEN CODY AND CLARK ACROSS
HIGHWAY 120.

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
