MOUNTAINS...30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS 60 TO 70 MPH IN THE FOOTHILLS.

* IMPACTS...MOTORISTS ON THE CHIEF JOSEPH HIGHWAY AND HIGHWAY 120 SHOULD
BE PREPARED FOR VERY STRONG WINDS CONTINUING THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON. RESIDENTS SHOULD SECURE ANY LOOSE ITEMS THAT MAY BE
BLOWN AROUND WHEN THE WINDS INCREASE.

A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH WESTERN WYOMING TODAY. THIS WILL CAUSE AN
INCREASE OF WEST WIND BY LATE MORNING THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. WIND
SPEEDS IN THE CODY FOOTHILLS WILL BE 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
AROUND 45 MPH. THERE COULD BE SOME WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 60 MPH WEST OF
CLARK. WIND SPEEDS IN THE MOUNTAINS WILL BE 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS
OF 50 TO 60 MPH. BE PREPARED FOR GUSTY AND ERRATIC WIND IF YOU PLAN
TO TRAVEL OVER CHIEF JOSEPH PASS OR ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 120 THROUGH
PARK COUNTY.
