THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MORRISTOWN HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
NOON EST MONDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* EVENT...SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED...WITH 4 TO 8 INCHES POSSIBLE ACROSS SOME HIGHER
ELEVATION AREAS OF SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. IN ADDITION...A FEW AREAS
MAY SEE SOME FREEZING RAIN WITH ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF LESS THAN A
TENTH OF AN INCH.

* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ACCUMULATING BY EARLY
AFTERNOON TODAY. THE SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TRANSITION TO A MIX OF
SNOW...SLEET...FREEZING RAIN AND RAIN TONIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING
BEFORE CHANGING TO ALL RAIN MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND ICE WILL MAKE DRIVING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS.
