THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4
PM MST TUESDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN
EFFECT.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH MOUNTAINS SOUTH OF I-80 ALONG WITH
THE WESTERN UINTAS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...10 TO 20 INCHES BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...
WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE IN THE COTTONWOODS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BECOME WIDESPREAD AND LOCALLY HEAVY TONIGHT.
THIS SNOW MAY DIMINISH FOR A TIME OVERNIGHT...BEFORE BECOMING
HEAVY ONCE AGAIN TUESDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL LINGER INTO THE
AFTERNOON BEFORE TAPERING OFF.

* IMPACTS...WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS INCLUDING PERIODS OF SNOW
PACKED ROADS AND GREATLY REDUCED VISIBILITY CAN BE EXPECTED ON
AREA ROADWAYS THROUGH TUESDAY. THIS INCLUDES THE COTTONWOOD
CANYONS AS WELL AS PROVO AND SPANISH FORK CANYONS.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH FRONT AND CACHE VALLEY AS WELL AS
THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 4 INCHES ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT AND
CACHE VALLEY WITH 4 TO 8 INCHES ALONG THE BENCHES AND ACROSS
THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

* TIMING...SNOW...POSSIBLY INITIALLY FALLING AS RAIN BEFORE
CHANGING OVER...WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND BECOME LOCALLY HEAVY AT TIMES THIS EVENING. SNOW MAY TAPER
OFF OVERNIGHT...BEFORE INCREASING IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY
EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF BY LATE
MORNING.
