...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT FRIDAY FOR
NORTHWESTERN ORANGE...EAST CENTRAL HARDIN AND SOUTHERN JASPER
COUNTIES...

AT 833 PM CDT...REPORTING GAUGES INDICATED FLOODING ALONG THE
NECHES RIVER FROM NEAR WEISS BLUFF TO THE SALTWATER BARRIER. THE
WATER LEVELS ARE ESTIMATED TO BE NEAR 14.6 FEET AND THE LATEST
READING AT THE SALTWATER BARRIER IS 6.2 FEET. THE RIVER IS FORECAST
TO RISE TO 16.8 FEET BY MONDAY...AND CONTINUE TO RESULT IN FLOODING
THROUGH FRIDAY...JUNE 5.

THESE WATER LEVELS WILL RESULT IN MODERATE FLOODING TO LOW LYING
COMMUNITIES ALONG THE RIVER IN NORTHWEST ORANGE COUNTY FROM AROUND
LAKE VIEW TO THE SALTWATER BARRIER.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
LAKEVIEW AND WEISS BLUFF.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

* At 8:45 PM Friday the stage was 26.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 26.3 feet
by Sunday morning.
* Impact...At stages near 26.8 feet...Deweyville schools may be
closed due to school bus routes being flooded.

* At 7:00 PM Friday the estimated stage was 15.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to continue rising to a crest
near 16.4 feet Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At stages near 16.0 feet...Moderate flooding will occur.
Water floods roadways and approaches homes near the river at weiss
bluff and lakeview.

* At 8:00 AM Friday the stage was 5.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 6.0 feet by early
Wednesday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At stages near 4.0 feet...Minor flooding of Beaumont
Country Club and Colliers Ferry Park can be expected. Also flooding
in Northwest Orange County south of River Oaks to Bunns Bluff can
be expected. Water may go over Four Oaks Ranch Road in Northwest
Orange County.
