...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF CENTRAL OREGON AND NORTHEAST OREGON...INCLUDING
THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN CENTRAL OREGON...JOHN DAY BASIN AND
OCHOCO-JOHN DAY HIGHLANDS. IN NORTHEAST OREGON...GRANDE RONDE
VALLEY...NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF OREGON...SOUTHERN BLUE
MOUNTAINS OF OREGON AND WALLOWA COUNTY.

* THROUGH THIS EVENING

* SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AGAIN TODAY. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN OVER AREAS
THAT HAVE RECENTLY RECEIVED PLENTY OF RAIN. EXPECT RAINFALL
RATES OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAIN PER HOUR WITH SOME STORMS.
THIS WILL THREATEN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST OREGON WITH
FLASH FLOODING OR DEBRIS FLOWS.

* EXPECT STANDING WATER ALONG ROADWAYS WHERE HEAVY RAIN FROM
THUNDERSTORMS OCCURS...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS THAT HAVE POOR
DRAINAGE. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE DEBRIS FLOWS IN AREAS OF STEEP
TERRAIN. SHARP RISES ALONG RIVER AND STREAMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
