BORDER ARE FORECAST TO SEE AN INCH OR TWO OF SNOW BY MID DAY
FRIDAY. THE COMBINATION OF LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AND GUSTY
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CREATE DIFFICULT DRIVING
CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY ACROSS HIGH ELEVATION AREAS. THE STRONG

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG HAS ISSUED
A WIND ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
MIDNIGHT EST FRIDAY NIGHT.

* LOCATIONS...NORTHERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS.

* HAZARDS...VERY WINDY CONDITIONS

* TIMING...WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE LATE TONIGHT AND REMAIN
VERY GUSTY THROUGH THE DAYLIGHT HOURS ON FRIDAY. WINDS WILL
GRADUALLY WEAKEN THROUGH THE FRIDAY EVENING HOURS.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH.
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 5000 FEET WILL SEE GUSTS PEAK BETWEEN 60 TO 65
MPH AROUND MID DAY FRIDAY.

* IMPACTS...THE VERY WINDY CONDITIONS WILL MAKE DRIVING
DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES AND IN MOUNTAIN
PASSES. A FEW TREES OR LIMBS COULD BE DOWNED BY THE
WINDS...CAUSING ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
