TUESDAY EVENING FOR RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF 15 PERCENT OR LESS...20

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 9 PM
MDT this evening. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued for
Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

* WIND...West southwest 20 to 25 mph with higher gusts in the
plains. West southwest 30 to 45 mph with higher gusts in the
mountains. On Tuesday, west 25 to 35 mph with higher gusts in
the plains. West 35 to 55 mph with higher gusts in the
mountains.

* HUMIDITY...5 to 7 percent today, 6 to 15 percent Tuesday.

* FIRE DANGER...Very High.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute
to dangerous fire behavior.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.

Wind Warning, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM
MDT Tuesday.

* TIMING... 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday.

* WINDS...Today southwest to west 35 to 45 mph. Tuesday 40 to 60
mph with gusts over 70 mph possible.

* IMPACTS...Severe turbulence near the mountains will be hazardous
for light low flying aircraft. High profile vehicle may be
difficult to control.

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring.
