...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO NOON EDT THURSDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

* SNOW IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO NORTHWESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN AROUND
MIDDAY. THE SNOW WILL THEN INCREASE LATE TODAY AND CONTINUE HEAVY
AT TIMES INTO THURSDAY MORNING...BEFORE DIMINISHING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON.
THE MOST SNOW WILL FALL TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING...WHEN
ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 7 TO 10 INCHES ARE EXPECTED. MANY
LOCATIONS WILL SEE STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL OVER ONE FOOT BY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON.

* EAST WINDS INCREASING TO 20 TO 30 MPH TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY
MORNING WILL RESULT IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW ALONG THE
LAKE SUPERIOR SHORELINE.

IMPACTS...

* ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING. PERSONS PLANNING ON TRAVELING SHOULD BE PREPARED
FOR DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS.

* A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER
WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT
