THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* ALL OF SOUTHEAST ALABAMA AND THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE...MUCH OF
SOUTHWEST GEORGIA...AND PARTS OF THE FLORIDA BIG BEND. THIS
INCLUDES THE CITIES OF TALLAHASSEE...ALBANY...DOTHAN...AND
PANAMA CITY.

* THROUGH THIS EVENING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CROSS THE AREA FROM WEST TO EAST
TODAY. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS.
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL TOTALS OF 1-2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...BUT
ISOLATED AREAS MAY SEE TOTALS OF 3-6 INCHES WITH THESE
STORMS...WHICH COULD LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Choctawhatchee River near Bruce (SR 20).
* From Monday morning, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 6:45 AM Saturday the stage was 11.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast: Rise above flood stage by late Monday morning and
continue to rise to near 13.9 feet by early Thursday morning.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact: At 14.0 feet: Flood waters impact storage areas underneath
homes on the east and west banks of the Choctawatchee River near
Bruce.

* From Monday evening until further notice.
* At 8:45 AM Sunday the stage was 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast: Rise above flood stage by tomorrow late evening and
continue to rise to near 13.8 feet by early Thursday morning.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact At 13.0 feet: Low areas along BH Reddick, Rooks Bluff,
Smokehouse Lake and Herring Roads in Walton County become subject to
flooding. Low areas along Little Acre and Strickland Roads in
Washington County become subject to flooding.

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

* THROUGH LATE TONIGHT

* SEVERAL ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LEAD TO
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL TOTALS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES. WHEN COMBINED WITH
RECENTLY SATURATED GROUNDS...FLOODING WILL BE LIKELY FOR ALREADY
SWOLLEN RIVERS ACROSS THE AREA. IN ADDITION TO THE RIVER
FLOODING...ISOLATED FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE AS WELL HEAVY
