The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued
* Flood Warning for Urban Areas and Small Streams in...
Central Sonoma County in northern California...
* Until 815 AM PST Tuesday
* At 818 AM PST, reporting stream gages and social media reports
indicate ongoing flooding and increasing water levels in the lower
Laguna de Santa Rosa area and Mark West Creek. Water levels are
likely to continue to rise throughout the day and will remain
high. Water levels in the lower Laguna de Santa Rosa will remain
high as long as the Russian River remains high. The flood wave
expected from this storm system is expected to progress through
the lower Russian River, so water levels are likely to remain high
for several days. This flood warning extends for 24 hours, but
will likely be renewed periodically to reflect current conditions.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Laguna de Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Windsor, Sebastopol, Cotati,
Larkfield-Wikiup, and Graton.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
