THE NORTHWEST AVALANCHE CENTER HAS ISSUED AN AVALANCHE WARNING...

TIMING...IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM SUNDAY FEBRUARY 25.

LOCATION...THE WEST SLOPES OF THE WASHINGTON CASCADES INCLUDING MT
BAKER, STEVENS PASS, SNOQUALMIE PASS, PARADISE, WHITE PASS, AND MT
HOOD.

AVALANCHE DANGER...THE AVALANCHE DANGER IS EXPECTED TO BE HIGH
SUNDAY IN ALL ELEVATION BANDS IN THESE AREAS.

REASON...A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WITH HEAVY SNOWFALL, STRONG WINDS AND
A WARMING TREND SUNDAY WILL RESULT IN WIDESPREAD AVALANCHES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL IS NOT
RECOMMENDED IN AREAS WITH A HIGH AVALANCHE DANGER.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...An additional 6 to 18 inches of new snow is expected
today in the Cascades.

* WHERE...Cascades of Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, Pierce,
and Lewis counties including Mount Baker ski area, Stevens
Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, White Pass and Paradise at Mount
Rainier.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM PST tonight. The bulk of the snow
accumulations will be this morning into the early afternoon
hours.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Be
prepared for reduced visibilities at times. Plan on difficult
travel conditions. Significant reductions in visibility are
possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
