The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of southeast Texas...including the following
counties...Austin...Brazos...Burleson...Colorado...Fort Bend...
Polk...San Jacinto...Trinity...Walker...Waller...Washington
and Wharton.

* Until 3 PM CST this afternoon

* Showers and thunderstorms are developing across Southeast Texas
early this morning, and coverage is slowly increasing coastward
as the front advances in that direction today. While most of the
activity so far is actually behind the front where rain rates
are not quite as high, flow there is actually a little more
supportive of training rainfall, which may make up for the
decreased intensity. Rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour
with locally higher amounts will be possible with the stronger
activity or where any training sets up.

* The watch area may need to be reconfigured during the day as
it becomes a little more clear as to what locations are at
most risk for flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
