HIGHER ELEVATIONS OVERNIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING...

A STORM SYSTEM ACROSS THE GULF COAST STATES WILL SPREAD MOISTURE
INTO THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES
ACROSS THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS WILL DROP TO NEAR FREEZING ALLOWING
THE PRECIPITATION TO FALL IN THE FORM OF SNOW...SLEET...AND RAIN.
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE ANTICIPATED WITH SNOWFALL UP TO 1/2
INCH POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN...GENERALLY AT OR ABOVE
4000 FEET. THIS HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS...ROAN
MOUNTAIN...AND HIGH KNOB CAN EXPECT THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION.

INCREASING SOUTHERLY WINDS SUNDAY WILL PRODUCE WINDY CONDITIONS
ACROSS THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS...ESPECIALLY AFTERNOON AND EVENING
HOURS. SOUTHERLY WINDS BETWEEN 15 AND 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH.
