...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING
THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

* Snow accumulations: 4 to 8 inches are possible in the Watch area
Sunday.

* Elevation: Generally above 2500 feet.

* Timing: The highest snowfall rates, around one inch per hour,
are possible Sunday afternoon.

* Locations include: The watch area includes the Tiller-Trail
highway and other elevations above 2500 feet.

* Impacts: Snowfall could create slippery, snow covered roads,
and reduce visibilities to less than a half mile or less at
times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* Stock emergency kit with tire chains, flashlight, batteries,
blankets, food, water, and medications.

* The safest place during a winter storm is indoors.

* Plan now to avoid traveling during the storm.

* A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant
snow accumulations that may create dangerous travel.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SUNDAY TO 4 AM
PST MONDAY...

* Snow accumulations...6 to 12 inches. Around 3 inches expected
near Siskiyou Summit on Interstate 5.

* Winds...West 15 to 25 mph.

* Elevation...Highest snow amounts generally above 4500 feet.

* Timing...Highest snowfall rates...around one inch per hour...are
expected Sunday afternoon.

* Locations include...Highways 138...230 and 62 near Diamond Lake
and Crater Lake. Highway 140 near Lake of the Woods. Mount
Ashland Ski Road.

* Impacts...Roads are expected to become snow covered in heavier
snow showers. Blowing snow will reduce visibilities at times to
less than one quarter mile.

* Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.
