...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, including the
following areas, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette IN, Franklin
IN, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union IN, and Wayne. In
Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant,
Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton, and Robertson. In Ohio,
Adams, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton,
Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette OH, Franklin OH, Greene,
Hamilton, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Miami,
Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby,
Union OH, and Warren.

* Through late tonight.

* A band of showers and thunderstorms has developed this morning,
and is forecasted to to slowly sag southeast this afternoon. A
widespread one to three inches of rain is expected today.
Isolated totals of three to four inches will be possible.
Showers and thunderstorms will come to an end late Friday night.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Northern Boone County in northern Kentucky...
Hamilton County in southwestern Ohio...
Northern Clermont County in southwestern Ohio...
Southern Warren County in southwestern Ohio...

* Until 345 PM EDT.

* At 146 PM EDT, radar indicated areas of heavy rain along and just
southeast of I-71, moving slowly southeast. Torrential rainfall
rates from 1 to 2 inches per hour will cause urban flooding and
small streams to flood, as well as poorly drained areas to
accumulate significant water.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Cincinnati, Mason, Norwood, Forest Park, Newport, Sharonville, Blue
Ash, Loveland, Springdale, Reading, Montgomery, North College Hill,
Madeira, Wyoming, Cheviot, Villa Hills, Milford, Mount Healthy,
Bellevue and Deer Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
