SATURDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

* HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA
THROUGH THIS EVENING. MODERATE LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS THEN EXPECTED
OVERNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY.

* WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 30 MPH THROUGH THURSDAY
WILL LEAD TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ESPECIALLY NEAR LAKE
SUPERIOR. WINDS WILL DIMINISH BY FRIDAY.

* IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW THAT HAS OCCURRED THIS AFTERNOON...EXPECT
ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY OF 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH
THE MOST SNOW OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN...INCLUDING AT TWIN
LAKES... PAINESDALE...AND CALUMET. THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL
CONTINUE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT...WITH SEVERAL INCHES
OF ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION EXPECTED...HEAVIEST OVER THE HIGHER
TERRAIN.

IMPACTS...

* ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.

* MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES.
THE LOWEST VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN ONE-HALF MILE AT TIMES...WILL
OCCUR THROUGH TONIGHT.
