The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois,
including the following areas, in north central Illinois,
Boone, De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Ogle, and Winnebago. In
northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake
IL, McHenry, and Will.

* Until 9 AM CDT this morning.

* Additional rain and thunderstorms early this morning may produce
locally heavy rainfall.

* Additional heavy rainfall may exacerbate flooding already
occurring across portions of northern Illinois...producing new
rises on area rivers and creeks.


A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

* At 830 PM Friday the stage was 460.5 feet.
* Action stage is 461.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 463.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 461.5 feet by Sunday

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flood Warning for
The Fox River at Dayton.
* from late tonight to Wednesday evening.
* At 345 PM Friday the stage was 11.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Saturday and continue to
rise to near 14.4 feet by Sunday afternoon.The river will fall
below flood stage by Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Homes approximately 1 mile downstream of
Wedron begin to flood.
