* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
for...
Orange County in southwestern California...
San Bernardino County in southern California...
Riverside County in southern California...

* Until 915 AM PST

* At 619 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
locally heavy rain which will likely cause urban and small stream
flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will likely result in
minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will likely experience flooding include...
Anaheim, Santa Ana, Riverside, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Garden
Grove, Ontario, Corona, Orange, Fullerton, Costa Mesa, Mission
Viejo, Chino, Tustin, Yorba Linda, San Clemente, Lake Elsinore,
Seal Beach, Laguna Beach and Dana Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

AFTERNOON...INCREASING FRIDAY TO 8 TO 12 FT WITH SETS TO 16
FEET. SURF SUBSIDING SUNDAY TO 4 TO 8 FT...THEN INCREASING AGAIN
MONDAY TO 8 TO 12 FT. SURF WILL SLOWLY DIMINISH TUESDAY.

* TIDES...HIGHEST TIDE DURING HIGHEST SURF WILL BE AT 435 AM
SATURDAY AT 4.6 FT IN LA JOLLA.

* IMPACTS...VERY HAZARDOUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS AT THE BEACHES
THROUGH TUESDAY. WAVES CAN SUDDENLY WASH PEOPLE OFF JETTIES AND
ROCKS. LARGE AND POTENTIALLY DAMAGING SURF POSSIBLE FRIDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY AND AGAIN MONDAY INTO TUESDAY...CREATING THE
POTENTIAL FOR COASTAL EROSION...COASTAL FLOODING...AND DAMAGE
TO COASTAL STRUCTURES SUCH AS PIERS. COASTAL FLOODING WILL BE
MOST LIKELY DURING TIMES OF HIGH TIDE. FREQUENT STRONG RIP
CURRENTS ARE ALSO LIKELY.

A HIGH SURF WARNING INDICATES THAT DANGEROUS...BATTERING WAVE
WILL POUND THE SHORELINE. THIS WILL RESULT IN VERY DANGEROUS
