THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...HEAVY SNOW WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS
OVER HIGHER TERRAIN. IN ADDITION...ROAD CLOSURES TO MOUNTAIN TOP
LOCATIONS WILL LIKELY OCCUR.

* TIMING...THE PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN LATE THURSDAY AND CONTINUE
THROUGH SATURDAY...ALTHOUGH THE BEST TIME FOR SNOW WILL LIKELY
OCCUR EARLY FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH MUCH OF SATURDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 20
TO 24 INCHES FOR THE WHITE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHERN GREENLEE
COUNTY...WHICH INCLUDES HANNAGAN MEADOW. FOR THE PINALENO
MOUNTAINS OF SOUTH CENTRAL GRAHAM COUNTY...INCLUDING MT.
GRAHAM...EXPECT AMOUNTS RANGING FROM 18 TO 22 INCHES. FOR THE
SANTA CATALINA MOUNTAINS OF EASTERN PIMA COUNTY EXPECT 12 TO 16
INCHES.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW LEVELS WILL START OUT FAIRLY HIGH AT AROUND
NINE TO TEN THOUSAND FEET LATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON...BUT WILL
LOWER TO AROUND SEVEN THOUSAND FEET BY LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON
AND BOTTOM OUT AT AROUND 6000 FEET FOR SATURDAY.

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH ARE EXPECTED FRIDAY
WITH LIGHT SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS ON SATURDAY.

ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM 16 TO 22 INCHES ACROSS THE
PINALENO MOUNTAINS OF SOUTH CENTRAL GRAHAM COUNTY... INCLUDING
MT. GRAHAM. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE FORECAST TO RANGE FROM 12 TO
14 INCHES ACROSS THE CATALINA AND RINCON MOUNTAINS NEAR TUCSON.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW LEVELS FRIDAY MORNING WILL BE AROUND 9000
FEET. SNOW LEVELS WILL THEN LOWER TO AROUND 8000 FRIDAY
EVENING...AND CONTINUE TO LOWER TO NEAR 7500 FEET BY MIDDAY
SATURDAY.
