AREA THIS AFTERNOON...BEFORE DECREASING IN COVERAGE THIS EVENING.
RAINFALL OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL BE COMMON...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS. THE RAINFALL WILL FALL IN A VERY SHORT TIME
FRAME...WITH RUN OFF LIKELY.

THERE WILL SMALLER RAIN CHANCES ACROSS THE REGION FOR MEMORIAL
DAY...BEFORE ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY RAINFALL MOVES INTO THE
STATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY. THE SECOND ROUND OF RAINFALL IS
EXPECTED TO BRING WIDESPREAD 2 TO 4 INCH RAINFALL AMOUNTS...WITH
MORE FLOODING ISSUES EXPECTED.

* THE SOIL ACROSS MUCH OF ARKANSAS REMAINS SATURATED FROM THE
HEAVY RAINFALL THAT OCCURRED DURING THE MONTH OF MAY. MANY
RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE STILL AT UNSEASONABLY HIGH LEVELS...
WITH ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL ONLY INCREASING THE
POTENTIAL FOR FLASH FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

The Arkansas River At Morrilton.
* from Tuesday morning until further notice...or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 10:15 AM Sunday the stage was 28.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late Tuesday morning and
continue to rise to near 36.2 feet by Wednesday evening. Heavy rain is expected
over the next two days and this forecast will likely change.
Please monitor the river forecasts from the National Weather Service in
Little Rock closely over the next few days.
* Impacts at 34.0 feet...Backwaters up Point Remove Creek will
flood acres of cropland.

* from late Tuesday night until further notice...Or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 10:00 AM Sunday the tailwater elevation was 271.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood elevation is 275.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood elevation by Wednesday morning and
continue to rise to near 276.2 feet by early Thursday morning.
Heavy rain is expected over the next two days and this forecast will
likely change.Please monitor the river forecasts from the National
Weather Service in Little Rock closely over the next few days.
* Impacts at 275.0 feet...Mobile homes in the Toad Suck Community on
the right descending bank near the State Highway 60 Bridge are threatened.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 31.5 feet by
Thursday morning. Heavy rain is expected over the next two days
and this forecast will likely change. Please monitor the river forecasts

* Impacts at 30.0 feet...State Highway 216 affected. Extensive acreage
near Harris Brake Lake and the Wildlife Management Area are flooded.
