AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO SWEEP SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA
MONDAY EVENING. IN WAKE OF THIS COLD FRONT...EXPECT SNOW TO
DEVELOP...AND BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD AS THE NIGHT PROGRESSES. THE
SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY TUESDAY. ALSO...STRONG
NORTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP RESULTING IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF
SNOW. THE HIGHEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR IN
FAVORED UPSLOPE LOCATIONS SUCH AS CASPER AND LANDER...WHILE THE
WINDIEST AREA IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR AROUND BUFFALO. THIS STORM
SYSTEM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATING SNOW
AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH COULD CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES MONDAY
NIGHT AND TUESDAY ALONG AND EAST OF THE DIVIDE. PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR

STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

* SUMMARY AND TIMING...SNOWFALL WILL BEGIN ACROSS THE AREA LATE
TONIGHT...WITH SNOWFALL INTENSIFYING THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT
POTENTIALLY BECOMING HEAVY AT TIMES. SNOWFALL SHOULD WEAKEN
THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON. AREAS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 LOOK TO
EXPERIENCE THE GREATEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS AS A RESULT OF THE
SYSTEM.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES POSSIBLE WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS
FAVORABLE SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...STRONGER WIND OF 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS
UP TO 30 MPH EXPECTED TUESDAY AFTERNOON POTENTIALLY CREATING
REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...SNOWFALL MAY CREATE SNOW PACKED ROADWAYS RESULTING IN
INCREASED TRAVELING DIFFICULTY...INCLUDING INTERSTATE 80 THROUGH
SWEETWATER COUNTY.
