FOR WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PENDLETON HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM FRIDAY TO 9 AM PDT SUNDAY.
THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE NORTHERN HALF OF FIRE WEATHER ZONE 675
EASTERN WASHINGTON COLUMBIA BASIN...COVERING SOUTHEAST KITTITAS
VALLEY...THE YAKIMA VALLEY...AND THE HANFORD DISTRICT.

* TIMING...LOWEST RELATIVE HUMIDITY COMBINED WITH STRONGER WINDS
EXPECTED TO OCCUR BETWEEN 4 PM THROUGH 8 PM FRIDAY AND AGAIN ON
SATURDAY. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO SHIFT TO THE NORTH AND BECOME
BREEZY SATURDAY NIGHT.

* WIND...WEST TO NORTHWEST WIND 10 TO 20 MPH FRIDAY THROUGH
SATURDAY. NORTH WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH GUSTING TO 30 MPH SATURDAY
NIGHT.

* HUMIDITY...AS LOW AS 10 PERCENT.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL LIKELY SPREAD RAPIDLY.
OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED. DO NOT RELEASE FIREWORKS
NEAR AREAS OF DRY VEGETATION OR FLAMMABLE MATERIAL.

* TIMING...HOTTEST TEMPERATURES WILL OCCUR BETWEEN 2 PM AND 6
PM. OVERNIGHT LOWS TONIGHT WILL RUN IN THE 60S TO LOWER 70S.

* IMPACTS...THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE DUE TO THE HOT TEMPERATURES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS
EXPECTED. HOT TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT
ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-
