...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...
The National Weather Service in Charleston has expanded the
* Flood Watch to include portions of southeast West Virginia and
southern West Virginia, including the following areas, in
southeast West Virginia, Northwest Raleigh and Southeast
Raleigh. In southern West Virginia, Boone, Kanawha, Lincoln,
Logan, McDowell, Mingo, Putnam, and Wyoming.
* Until 10 PM EST this evening
* One half to three quarters of an inch of rain fell Friday, and
another one half to three quarters of an inch is expected this
afternoon and evening. With the ground already saturated
before the rain Friday, and rivers and streams running high,
the additional rainfall this afternoon and evening could lead
* Flooding of poor drainage and low lying areas, especially
along rivers and streams, is possible.
