* Until 1015 PM EST Saturday
* At 407 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will
cause flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Williamson, Welch, Logan, Clintwood, Grundy, Pineville, Haysi, John
Flannagan Lake, Breaks Interstate, Davenport, Oceana, Chapmanville,
Gary, War, Man, Delbarton, Northfork, Gilbert Creek, Mount
Gay-Shamrock and Mallory.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

areas, Buchanan and Dickenson.
* Until 10 PM EST this evening
* One half to three quarters of an inch of rain fell Friday, and
another one half to three quarters of an inch is expected this
afternoon and evening. With the ground already saturated
before the rain Friday, and rivers and streams running high,
the additional rainfall this afternoon and evening could lead
* Flooding of poor drainage and low lying areas, especially
along rivers and streams, is possible.
