EASTERN ROANOKE AND SOUTHWESTERN BOTETOURT COUNTIES...THE CITY OF
ROANOKE AND THE CITY OF SALEM...

AT 345 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THE BULK OF THE HEAVY RAIN
OVER THE ADVISORY AREA HAS DECREASED TO LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL.
THIS WILL ALLOW THE CURRENT URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING TO
CONTINUE AS WATER LEVELS SLOWLY RECEDE.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING INCLUDE
ROANOKE...
TROUTVILLE...
CAVE SPRING...
HOLLINS...
AND VINTON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM EARLIER HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE
ELEVATED LEVELS ON SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER
IN URBAN AREAS... HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS
OTHER POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
