* AT 747 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. UP TO ONE INCH OF RAIN HAS
ALREADY FALLEN. IN THE WAKE OF THIS THUNDERSTORM AND OTHER
PREVIOUS STORMS RECENTLY...A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
MOVING EAST WILL SPREAD OVER THE AREA. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED
TO BEGIN DURING THE MORNING HOURS.

SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS...INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...HEMPSTEAD...HOWARD...
LAFAYETTE...LITTLE RIVER...MILLER...NEVADA AND SEVIER. IN
NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...BOSSIER AND CADDO. IN SOUTHEAST
OKLAHOMA...MCCURTAIN. IN NORTHEAST TEXAS...BOWIE...CAMP...
CASS...CHEROKEE...FRANKLIN...GREGG...HARRISON...MARION...

* THROUGH 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND SPREAD
OVER THE AREA TODAY WITH THE PASSAGE OF AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE AND ALONG AND NEAR A COLD FRONT THAT WILL BE SLOW
TO MOVE SOUTH AND EAST ACROSS THE AREA. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF ONE TO THREE INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH ISOLATED
HIGHER AMOUNTS TO NEAR FOUR INCHES. THE SOIL REMAINS SATURATED
AND THIS NEW RAINFALL WILL QUICKLY RUNOFF INTO OUR ALREADY
SWOLLEN LOCAL AND AREA WIDE DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.

* LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN THE VICINITY
OF RAPIDLY RISING BAYOUS...CREEKS AND STREAMS...WILL BE MOST
PRONE TO FLASH FLOODING DURING HEAVY RAINFALL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

The flood warning continues for
the Sabine River Near Gladewater, Texas.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 715 AM Saturday the stage was 31.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 34.7 feet by
Wednesday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...at 36.0 feet...Expect moderate to severe flooding with some
secondary roadways near the river to be closed. Also homes will be
threatened with flooding and preparations should be completed for a
major flood.

* At 745 AM Saturday the stage was 28.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 23 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 29.7 feet by
early Tuesday morning then begin falling.
