AT 748 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA.
DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE RAINFALL RATES BETWEEN ONE AND
THREE INCHES...ESPECIALLY ALONG US HIGHWAY 380 FROM EASTERN GARZA
COUNTY INTO WESTERN KENT COUNTY. BETWEEN TWO AND THREE INCHES OF
RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THIS AREA. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE
HEAVY RAINFALL FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR SO BEFORE TAPERING OFF TO LIGHT
RAIN SHOWERS.

PAST HOUR NEAR THE GARZA AND KENT COUNTY LINES NEAR US HIGHWAY
380. STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE ESTIMATED NEAR FIVE INCHES
IN THIS AREA. HEAVY RAINFALL WAS STILL CURRENTLY OCCURRING BUT IS

APPROACH...

ABUNDANT MOISTURE WILL SPREAD INTO THE TEXAS SOUTH PLAINS REGION
TONIGHT AND THURSDAY IN ADVANCE OF PACIFIC TROPICAL CYCLONE ODILE.
THIS WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASING CHANCE OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND
MINOR FLOODING. RAINFALL MAY QUICKLY AMOUNT TO AN INCH OR TWO IN
SOME LOCATIONS THROUGH THURSDAY...THOUGH MOST AREAS WILL RECEIVE A
HALF INCH OR LESS. MINOR STREET FLOODING SHOULD BE EXPECTED IN
SOME AREAS.

THE REMAINS OF ODILE ARE EXPECTED TO PASS JUST NORTH OF THE AREA
LATE FRIDAY AND EARLY SATURDAY WHICH MAY LEAD TO ANOTHER ROUND OF
HEAVY RAIN. BY THE TIME THIS SYSTEM PASSES...SOME LOCATIONS COULD
SEE RAINFALL TOTALS UP TO SEVERAL INCHES. PRECISE LOCATIONS WITH
GREATEST THREAT FOR HEAVIER RAIN ARE STILL NOT CLEAR.
