SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS...INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...HEMPSTEAD...
HOWARD... LAFAYETTE...LITTLE RIVER...MILLER...NEVADA AND
SEVIER. IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...BOSSIER AND CADDO. IN
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...MCCURTAIN. IN NORTHEAST TEXAS...
BOWIE...CAMP...CASS...CHEROKEE...FRANKLIN...GREGG...
HARRISON...MARION...MORRIS...PANOLA...RED RIVER...RUSK...
SMITH...TITUS...UPSHUR AND WOOD.

* THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND
INTENSITY THROUGH SATURDAY AS AN UPPER LEVEL TOUGH AND A COLD
FRONT EDGE SLOWLY EASTWARD. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF
ONE TO THREE INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH ISOLATED HIGHER
AMOUNTS TO NEAR FOUR INCHES. THE SOIL REMAINS SATURATED AND
THIS NEW RAINFALL WILL QUICKLY RUNOFF INTO OUR ALREADY SWOLLEN
LOCAL AND AREA WIDE DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.

* LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN THE VICINITY
OF RAPIDLY RISING BAYOUS...CREEKS AND STREAMS...WILL BE MOST
PRONE TO FLASH FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.

the Angelina River Near Lufkin, Texas.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 AM Friday The stage was 12.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.0 feet by
Wednesday morning. Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact...at 12.0 feet...Lowland flooding will continue to slowly
diminish over the next several days.

the Neches River Near Alto, Texas.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 AM Friday the stage was 18.8 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 19.1 feet by
Wednesday morning. Additional rises remain possible thereafter.
* Impact...at 19.0 feet...Preparations should be completed for a
moderate flood. Barns and farm buildings near the river will be
threatened by high water. In addition, ranchers should have
completed moving cattle and equipment to higher ground.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.8 feet by
Saturday evening then begin falling.
* Impact...at 18.0 feet...Expect moderate to severe flooding of river
bottoms with some camps and access roads flooded.
