...A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING GUSTY WINDS TO THE MID STATE
SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...

A STRENGTHENING LOW PRESSURE AREA WILL SWEEP FROM THE SOUTHERN
PLAINS INTO THE GREAT LAKES REGION THROUGH MONDAY...BRINGING A
PERIOD OF STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS TO THE MID STATE.

WINDS WILL INCREASE OVER THE AREA TODAY...AND BY TONIGHT AND
MONDAY SUSTAINED WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO OFTEN BE AROUND 20
MPH...WITH FREQUENT GUSTS OF 3O TO 35 MPH. THESE WINDS WILL BE
HOWLING OUT OF THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST...AND THOSE DRIVING HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES WILL HAVE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE BUFFETING
WINDS...ESPECIALLY THOSE TRAVELING ALONG HIGHWAYS THAT RUN EAST TO
WEST.

THESE GUSTY WINDS WILL ALSO BE CAPABLE OF BREAKING SMALL LIMBS FROM
TREES...AND BLOWING OVER LIGHT WEIGHT...UNSECURED ITEMS...SUCH AS
TRASH CANS.

WINDS WILL FINALLY DIMINISH MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY...AS THE LOW
PRESSURE AREA MOVES RAPIDLY NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS EASTERN CANADA.
