The Great Pee Dee At Pee Dee.
* until further notice.
* At 9:00 AM Thursday the stage was 30.31 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 31.0 feet by just after
midnight tonight then begin falling.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet...There will be extensive flooding of timber land and
farm land along the river. Access roads may be damaged by the flood waters and
operations at industrial plants along the river will be affected.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.1 feet by early tomorrow
afternoon then begin falling.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet...Floodwaters deepen on Creekside Drive, East Black Creek
Road, and Crooked Creek Drive. Flood waters spread onto Cyprus Bend Road into
the Country Club of South Carolina.

rise to near 17.9 feet by early Sunday morning. The river will fall below
flood stage by early Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Extensive flooding will occur.

Beach, Leland, Bennettsville, Hartsville, Marion, Dillon, Oak
Island, Lake City, Darlington, Cheraw, Carolina Beach, Whiteville,
Mullins, Burgaw and Surfside Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
