CRAIG COUNTY IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA...
MAYES COUNTY IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 430 AM CDT SUNDAY

* AT 1022 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING INTO THE
WARNED AREA. RAINFALL RATES BETWEEN 1.5 AND 2.5 INCHES PER HOUR HAVE
BEEN OBSERVED WITH THE BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS AS IT HAS MOVED ACROSS
NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA THIS EVENING. IN ADDITION...MORE STORMS ARE
MOVING IN FROM THE SOUTH...AND WILL MERGE WITH THE ACTIVITY COMING
IN FROM THE WEST...ENHANCING THE FLASH FLOOD POTENTIAL.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO

INTO WESTERN ARKANSAS LATE TONIGHT INTO THE DAY SUNDAY. RAINFALL
RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL BE COMMON WITH THE HEAVIEST
RAINS.

* WIDESPREAD RAINFALL TOTALS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA...ESPECIALLY AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF A
LINE FROM MIAMI OKLAHOMA TO HUGO OKLAHOMA. LOCAL AMOUNTS OF 8 TO
10 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITHIN THIS SAME AREA. 5 TO 6 INCHES
OF RAINFALL HAS ALREADY OCCURRED ACROSS SOUTHERN TULSA...
OKMULGEE AND CREEK COUNTIES WITH NUMEROUS SECONDARY ROADS
CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.
