THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
EAST CENTRAL MCCURTAIN COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 145 PM CDT TUESDAY

* AT 543 AM CDT...FLASH FLOODING CONTINUES ON THE MOUNTAIN FORK
RIVER BELOW BROKEN BOW DAM DUE TO CONTINUED RESERVOIR RELEASES.
WHILE THE RAINFALL HAS ENDED...EXPECT FLOODING TO CONTINUE ON THE
ENTIRE MOUNTAIN FORK RIVER BELOW BROKEN BOW LAKE TO ITS CONFLUENCE
WITH THE LITTLE RIVER JUST WEST OF EAGLETOWN OKLAHOMA.

* EXPECT FLOODING TO CONTINUE ON THE MOUNTAIN FORK RIVER THROUGH AT
LEAST THIS TUESDAY EVENING.

* THE BROKEN BOW RESERVOIR POOL STAGE WAS 628.3 FEET AS OF 5 AM THIS
MORNING. THE LAKE POOL STAGE HAS BEGUN A NEW CREST THIS MORNING IN
RESPONSE TO HEAVY RAINFALL THAT FELL MONDAY EVENING...AND COULD
RISE ANOTHER ONE QUARTER FOOT TODAY. WATER CONTINUES TO SPILL OVER
THE SPILLWAY...AS THE HEIGHT OF THE SPILLWAY IS 627.5 FEET.

* THE FLOODING ON THE MOUNTAIN FORK RIVER WILL CONTRIBUTE TO MAJOR
FLOODING ON THE LITTLE RIVER TO BELOW EAGLETOWN OKLAHOMA THROUGH
HORATIO AND WILTON ARKANSAS. A FLOOD WARNING ALSO REMAINS IN
EFFECT FOR THE LITTLE RIVER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND NOW. ACT QUICKLY TO PROTECT YOUR LIFE.

STAY AWAY OR BE SWEPT AWAY. RIVER BANKS AND CULVERTS CAN BECOME

The flood warning continues for
the Red River Near Dekalb, Texas near Pecan Point.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 800 PM Monday the stage was 31.7 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 34.1 feet by
early Thursday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...at 33.0 feet...The approaches to the U.S. highway 259
bridge inundate. Tens of thousands of acres will flood severely.
Complete evacuation of livestock is encouraged. The U.S. highway
259 bridge will very likely be closed. In addition, Texas highway
37, that runs from Clarksville, Texas to Wright, Oklahoma, and
Texas highway 8, that runs from New Boston, Texas to Critton Ridge,
Arkansas, will likely be closed.
* This crest will compare to that of May 6 of 1990 when the river
crested at 34.42 feet.

...The flood warning extended until Friday morning...The flood
warning continues for
the Little River Near Idabel, Oklahoma.
* from late tonight to Friday morning...or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 830 PM Monday the stage was 29.2 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late this Tuesday evening
and continue to rise to near 33.5 feet by Wednesday morning.
The river will fall below flood stage by Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...at 34.0 feet...Farmers and ranchers should have
preparations completed for a major flood with all cattle and farm
machinery evacuated. Thousands of acres of lowland in the Little
River flood plain will be flooded and several secondary roads and
bridges will be cut off.

The flood warning continues for
the Little River At Horatio, Arkansas.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 900 PM Monday the stage was 26.8 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 27 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by 10 pm this Tuesday evening and
continue to rise to near 31.4 feet by Thursday early afternoon.
* Impact...at 30 feet...Ranchers should evacuate cattle and farm
machinery to higher ground and have preparations completed for a
major flood. Expect considerable lowland flooding of several
hundred acres of grazing and farming land. Expect major backwater
flooding of small tributaries at their confluence with the Little
River such as the Cossatot and the Rolling Fork.
