The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River AT Ironton.
* AT 9:00 AM Monday the stage was 54.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 52.0 feet.
* At stages near 56.0 feet...Storms Creek areas are flooded in Ohio. Some low
areas outside the flood wall of Ironton start to flood, especially near the
Hanging Rock area. Some low areas along the Ohio river in Kentucky start to

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and West
Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast
Kentucky, Boyd and Greenup. In southeast Ohio, Athens, Gallia,
Jackson OH, Lawrence OH, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton, and
Washington. In West Virginia, Cabell, Jackson WV, Mason,
Pleasants, Tyler, Wayne, and Wood.

* From this evening through Sunday morning.

* A cold front will stall over the area bringing several rounds
of heavy rainfall starting late tonight and into Thursday
morning. Waves of significant precipitation will continue to
move across the area into Sunday.

* Flooding of poor drainage and low lying areas, especially
along small streams, creeks and rivers, especially the Ohio
and Muskingum rivers, is possible.


A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
