...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM SUNDAY TO NOON
* WHAT...Freezing drizzle, heavy snow, and poor visibility in
blowing and drifting snow are expected. Plan on difficult travel
conditions which could become near impossible with road closures
a possibility by Sunday night into Monday morning. Ice
accumulations of a light glaze are expected Sunday morning
followed by total snow accumulations of 8 to 11 inches, with
localized amounts up to 14 inches.
* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Nebraska.
* WHEN...From 3 AM Sunday to noon CST Monday. Precipitation is
expected to begin in the form of a light freezing drizzle after
3 am Sunday morning and change over to snow by Sunday
afternoon. The heaviest snow is expected Sunday evening through
early Monday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will
cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.
