THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST
SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...EXPECT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN 4 TO 8
INCHES BELOW 7500 FEET AND 8 TO 14 INCHES ABOVE 7500 FEET.
LOCALLY BETWEEN 16 TO 20 INCHES POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHEST
ELEVATIONS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL START TONIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY.

* WINDS...NO SIGNIFICANT WINDS ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS SYSTEM.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW ACCUMULATION LEVELS WILL FLUCTUATE DURING THE
EVENT BUT EXPECT SNOWFALL DURING THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...HEAVY WET SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE AT HIGHER
ELEVATIONS...MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE OVER SOME
MOUNTAIN PASSES AND OTHER HIGH ELEVATION ROADS...INCLUDING ALONG
INTERSTATE 40 AT THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE. THE HEAVY WET SNOW COULD
COMPROMISE THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF SOME ROOF TOPS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO 5 PM MST SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER
IN EFFECT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN 4 TO 6 INCHES
EXPECTED BELOW 7500 FEET AND 6 TO 10 INCHES ABOVE 7500 FEET. THE
HIGHER ELEVATIONS ALONG THE SANDIA/MANZANO MOUNTAINS WILL SEE
ACCUMULATIONS AS HIGH AS 17 INCHES.

* TIMING...SNOW START WILL FRIDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH
SATURDAY.

* WINDS...EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH FRIDAY MORNING ALONG
THE EAST SLOPES OF THE SANDIA AND MANZANO MOUNTAINS AND ALONG
THE THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE...OTHERWISE LIGHT WINDS ARE EXPECTED.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW ACCUMULATION LEVELS WILL FLUCTUATE DURING THE
EVENT BUT EXPECT SNOWFALL DURING THE ENTIRE EVENT.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...HEAVY WET SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE AT HIGHER
ELEVATIONS...ESPECIALLY ABOVE 7500 FEET MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT
OR IMPOSSIBLE AT THOSE ELEVATIONS.

* WINDS...NO SIGNIFICANT WINDS ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS EVENT.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW LEVELS WILL FLUCTUATE BETWEEN THE SURFACE AND
JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE DEPENDING ON THE TIME OF DAY DURING THE
EVENT. THEREFORE... RAIN WILL MIX WITH SNOW...ESPECIALLY TOWARDS
THE SAN JUAN VALLEY OR LOWER ELEVATIONS OF THE ZONE.

MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT. WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
NEAR THE COLORADO BORDER AND ALONG HIGHWAY 64 SOUTHWEST OF
DULCE.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL
