There is a risk for light to moderate snow accumulations beginning
Friday night. A storm system will develop in the Central High
Plains and will move into the Missouri Valley Saturday. The
greatest chances for the highest accumulations occur Saturday
morning into the afternoon. There is potential for snowfall rates
to be heavy at times as well Saturday, along with patchy blowing
snow. Lastly, there is a chance for freezing precipitation prior
to changeover to snow, however, confidence is lower in this.

There is potential for snow amounts greater than four inches from
southwest Nebraska into north central Nebraska with this winter
system. Those concerned about calving or traveling during this
time frame should monitor the situation as it evolves. Details
concerning timing and placement of the heaviest snow are still
being fine- tuned.
