Including the cities of Dabney, Henderson, Norlina, Wise, Afton,
Warrenton, Lake Gaston, Roanoke Rapids, Pilot, Ingleside,
Louisburg, Franklinton, Nashville, Aventon, Red Oak, Sharpsburg,
Spring Hope, Rocky Mount, Raleigh, Cary, Smithfield, Clayton,

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EST Saturday.

* AREAS AFFECTED: Northeast Piedmont, Coastal Plains, Sandhills,
and Southern Piedmont Counties of North Carolina.

* VISIBILITY... 1/4 mile or less

* TIMING... Overnight into early Saturday Morning.this morning

* IMPACTS... Widespread dense fog will create hazardous travel
conditions overnight into early Saturday morning.


A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving, slow down, use
low beam headlights, and leave plenty of following distance.
Exercise additional caution at intersections and highway onramps
and offramps where accidents are more likely to occur.
