FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...
* IMPACTS: Low Humidities...Strong Gusty Winds...and Wind Shift
with a Cold Front will create erratic fire behavior and an
increased risk of new fire starts.
* AFFECTED AREA:
In North Central Montana, Fire Weather Zones 115 and 117.
* COUNTIES AFFECTED:
In Central Montana, Cascade, Fergus, Judith Basin, Meagher.
In North Central Montana, Chouteau.
* COLD FRONT: A cold front from Canada will move south across the
region Wednesday afternoon.
* WIND: West 20 to 30 mph...with gusts around 55 mph. Winds
becoming north at 20 to 30 mph...with gusts around 50 mph behind
the the front.
* HUMIDITY: As low as 15 percent.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are possible. A combination of gusty winds, low relative humidity,
and warm temperatures will create high fire growth potential.
Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in these
areas of this Fire Weather Watch.

...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT
FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...
The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a High
Wind Watch, which is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through
late Wednesday night.
* Winds: West 30 to 40 mph, with gusts around 60 mph. Winds
shifting to the north Wednesday evening.
* Timing: Wednesday morning through Wednesday night.
* Impacts: Strong winds could blow down limbs, trees, and power
lines. Any new fire stars will be difficult to contain. Travel
will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger, may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
