* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to
rise to near 21.4 feet by Saturday morning.
* Impact, at 21.6 feet...500 parking spaces in the Alticor Inc.
parking lot are inundated and one gate into the Alticor Inc.
complex is closed due to the high water. Ada River Walk near
Covered Bridge and Leonard Field Ball Park in Ada flooded.

* Forecast, rise above flood stage by Wednesday early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 8.3 feet by early Thursday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Thursday afternoon.
* Impact, at 8.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of homes upstream of
Rockford.
* Flood history, this crest compares to a previous crest of 8.3 feet

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
southwest Michigan, and west central Michigan, including the
following areas, in central Michigan, Clare, Gratiot,
Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm, and Osceola. In south central
Michigan, Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, and Jackson.
In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, Kent,
Ottawa, and Van Buren. In west central Michigan, Lake, Mason,
Muskegon, Newaygo, and Oceana.

* From Monday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon

* 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected from Monday through
Wednesday morning. Locally higher amounts are likely.

* The rainfall, combined with a melting snowpack and a frozen
ground could cause flooding across the area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
