...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST SUNDAY...

The National Weather Service in Jackson has expanded the

* Flood Watch to include portions of east central Kentucky,
northeast Kentucky, south central Kentucky, and southeast
Kentucky, including the following areas, in east central
Kentucky, Elliott, Estill, Menifee, and Powell. In northeast
Kentucky, Johnson. In south central Kentucky, Laurel,
McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne, and Whitley. In
southeast Kentucky, Breathitt, Jackson, Lee, Magoffin, Morgan,

* Until 7 AM EST Sunday

* A round of moderate to heavy rain from showers and thunderstorms
will affect the area through early Sunday morning. The most
significant rainfall is expected overnight. Given the saturated
ground from rainfall earlier today, minor flooding will be
possible along small streams and creeks. Additionally, isolated
flash flooding will be possible in cities and towns and poor
drainage areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
