TONIGHT...WITH SNOW CONTINUING INTO THURSDAY. HOWEVER...RUNOFF
FROM HEAVY RAIN THAT OCCURRED ON TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY IS
LEADING TO AREA FLOODING ON CREEKS AND STREAMS IN SEVERAL
LOCATIONS. EXPECT FLOODING TO CONTINUE IN THESE AREAS THROUGH AT
LEAST THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED

* COLDER AIR WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE IN FROM NORTHWEST THROUGH THIS
MORNING CHANGING A WINTRY MIX OF SLEET AND SNOW TO ALL SNOW.
THE SNOW MAY FALL HEAVY AT TIMES THIS MORNING...BEFORE
LIGHTENING AND TAPERING OFF BY AFTERNOON.

* 2 TO 5 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL SNOW SHOULD FALL THROUGH EARLY
AFTERNOON. THIS WILL BRING STORM TOTAL SNOW AND SLEET
ACCUMULATIONS TO THE 3 TO 7 INCH RANGE. THE HIGHER SNOW AND
SLEET ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD GENERALLY BE NORTH OF THE CUMBERLAND
PARKWAY...TO HAL ROGERS PARKWAY...TO KY HIGHWAY 80 CORRIDOR.

* SNOW OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT TO
TREACHEROUS. IN ADDITION...THE HEAVY WET NATURE OF THIS SNOW
WILL CAUSE STRESS ON WEAK STRUCTURES AND COULD ALSO LEAD TO
DOWNED POWER LINES AND TREES WITH WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES
POSSIBLE.
