...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM MST THIS MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM MST this morning.
* Visibilities...Down to a quarter mile or less.
* Timing/Duration...Through mid-morning.
* Other Impacts...Reduced visibilities on area roadways.
Temperatures are below freezing so fog may freeze on area
roadways...bridges and overpasses resulting in slick roadways.
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibility will frequently be one
quarter mile or less in fog. If driving...slow down and be
prepared for sudden drops in visibility...especially near
rivers...creeks and low lying areas. Use your headlights on low
beams and drive defensively.

Dense fog will develop across the region at times through mid
morning. You can expect visibilities to drop between a mile down
to a half mile at times. This could create hazardous driving
conditions on area roadways. Also...with temperatures below
freezing...some roadways and bridges may become slick as fog may
freeze on them. Use caution if out traveling.

up to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an
inch are expected.
* WHERE...In Kansas, Sherman and Thomas Counties. In Colorado,
Kit Carson County County.
* WHEN...From 5 PM MST /6 PM CST/ this afternoon to 11 AM MST
/noon CST/ Saturday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Be
prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
