The Flood Warning continues for
The Wabash River at Terre Haute.
* from late tonight until further notice.
* At 11:00 AM Tuesday the stage was 8.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early tomorrow and continue to
rise to near 23.0 feet by early Monday morning.
* At 23.0 feet...Extensive flooding is in progress. Greenfield Bayou
levee may leak. South Lake Area extensively floods. Many local
roads are under several feet of water.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Wabash River at Montezuma.
* until Saturday March 03.
* At 9:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 16.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 26.2 feet by
Saturday early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
Friday early afternoon.
* At 26.0 feet...Extensive lowland flooding in progress. Flood waters
at the edge of SR 234 near Lodi just west of the bridge over the
Wabash River. Several county roads in Fountain, Parke and
Vermillion counties are flooded, some by more than 2 feet of water.

* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 26.2
feet early Saturday morning.
* At 26.5 feet...Backwater from the Wabash River receded enough along
Norton Creek to reopen North Main Street just south of SR 63.

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, north
central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana,
southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the
following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone,
Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard,
Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Rush, Shelby, and Tipton. In
east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph. In north
central Indiana, Carroll. In south central Indiana, Brown,
Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings.
In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and
Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain, Montgomery,
Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warren.

* Until 7 AM EST Wednesday

* Periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected across the area
today and tonight.

* This rain will cause flooding of some area rivers and may
cause flooding of streams and low lying areas.


A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
